TROLLOPE SOCIETY VISIT TO PETERBOROUGH CATHEDRAL

The Lay Canons, Brian Long and Christopher Gower, have most kindly invited a party of up to 70 Trollope Society Members to visit Peterborough Cathedral. The television serial ‘Barchester Chronicles’ was filmed in the Precincts and Christopher Gower was responsible for the music. This is a marvellous opportunity for members to see this superb Cathedral and where “Barchester” was revisited on television.

The Programme for the Day will be:

11.30 – 11.45 Welcome (enter the Cathedral’s West Door)
11.45 – 12.15 Drinks (wine) in the Benedict Rooms
12.15 p.m.
 
 Two course, hot Lunch in the Benedict Rooms
with wine and coffee
1.30 – 2.30 Conducted tours:
  Group (a): tour of the Cathedral
Group (b): Trollopian tour of the Precincts

 Evensong
(sung by the RSCM Southern Cathedral Singers)
