THE TROLLOPE SOCIETY SUMMER PARTY
July 15th, 2007
held at Wotton House by kind permission of Mr and Mrs David Gladstone

The Trollope Society Summer Party was held at Wotton House, near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire by kind permission of Mr and Mrs David Gladstone on Sunday July 15th. Seventy members of the Society were treated to a reception, superb luncheon and then a walk around the grounds laid out in the 18th century by Capability Brown. The history of the house was described in a talk by David Gladstone before lunch.

A raffle of a print of Anthony Trollope by Mark Handley, donated by Priscilla Hungerford and framed by Pamela Barrell raised much needed funds for the Society. The raffle was won by Glynis Jones. A photo of her receiving her prize is amongst the collection of photographs taken on the day and shown below.
